Architect:

Tod Williams Billie Tsien & Associates

Completion:

2001

Description:

This small museum sits next to the newly-expanded MoMA, though it holds its own against its more popular and powerful neighbor. Tombasil panels comprise the folded facade, exhibiting a handcrafted, yet industrious character that's appropriate for the building's function.

Inside, multiple paths of circulation lead up the intimate galleries that are characterized by views through and across the various spaces.
